Nominations are now open for the 2020 Small Business ROCK STARS!
We are once again on the hunt to find Georgia’s best and brightest small businesses. From retail and service to technology and manufacturing, any Georgia company employing under 100 is encouraged to apply. Winners will be honored at an awards luncheon at the Georgia Aquarium on April 20, 2020, and will receive great opportunities for free marketing exposure.
Deadline is September 30 at midnight.
About the Small Business ROCK STARS Program
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA) team up every year to recognize the outstanding, unique and impactful small businesses in the state of Georgia. We salute the risks, innovations, outreach, and impact of our small businesses, as well as the reasons why these qualities abound in Georgia. Since its inception, the Georgia Small Business ROCK STARS program has garnered more than 750 nominations and honored 29 small businesses as Small Business ROCK STARS.
Criteria
- Any type of small business is invited to apply. Nominate your own company or another great Georgia small business.
- You must employ under 100 (total Georgia employment).
- You must be a Georgia-based, for-profit company.
- If you have been assisted by your local or state economic development resources (see application for details), you will receive BONUS points.

What's expected of the winners
- Attendance at the awards luncheon.
- Take part in producing a short video about your business on location at your company.
- Submit a high-res product or service photo(s) to be included in promotional materials, size 1200px or higher.
- Only the winners will be notified. We look forward to receiving your nominations and saluting Georgia's small businesses with you!
