Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program Seeks Community Input

The State of Georgia received funding in the amount of $265,726,000 to help recover from the impacts of disasters in 2023 and 2024, specifically Hurricane Idalia (DR-4738), Tropical Storm Debby (DR-4821), and Hurrican Helene (DR-4830). These funds were appropriated under Public Law 118-158, enacted on December 21, 2024.

DCA’s Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program is seeking assistance with developing the Action Plan for the 2023/2024 Hurricane allocation by conducting two (2) unmet needs surveys – one (1) public survey designed for concerned citizens, business owner/operators, nonprofits, and others interested in providing information about disaster damage and remaining unmet needs and one (1) survey designed to be completed by Units of General Local Government (UGLG) regarding the overall needs of the entire community.
