The Georgia Department of Education will host twelve "Partners Educating Georgia's Future Workforce" meetings around the state this fall. Region 9 will be hosted by Toombs County at the Toombs County High School. This event will provide a chance for business and community partners to learn more about our national, state, regional and local workforce needs. Each county is asked to bring educators, chamber representatives, and several business and industry representatives to the meeting. State Legislators and other dignitaries are also invited. It is the goal of the Georgia Department of Education that business and industry will support our educational institutions by helping implement programs that will help meet the needs of the region.
