Georgia Tech Procurement Technical Assistance Center (GTPAC) will conduct a free "Introduction to Government Contracting" seminar on November 14, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in room 227 of the GA Tech campus in Savannah. The seminar is a beginner-level course and is a must for anyone thinking about or doing business with the government.
A general overview of how the government buys good and services and the 7 phases of government procurement will be discussed in detail. Additional topics include governmental registrations, market research on "advertisements" from sources like FedBizOpps, introduction to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), how to find internet marketing opportunities, how to locate subcontracting opportunities with the government "prime" contractors, bidding and much more.
