The second annual This Girl Can graduation was held last night at Southeastern Technical College. Students and parents enjoyed hearing student testimonies about what they experienced in the November workshops. Mahsa Poorak, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Southern Electric Company, was the keynote speaker. After participants received this year’s T-shirts and certificates, everyone sat down for a meal together in the college’s Student Center. Volunteers from Forge served the students and their families. Sixteen 7th and 8th grade females from Vidalia City and Toombs County Schools graduated from This Girl Can and earned a certificate of participation this year!
