Vidalia City Schools Partners with Memorial Health Meadows Hospital on Literacy Initiative

Vidalia City Schools has partnered with Memorial Health Meadows Hospital to ensure that all babies get an early start on literacy. Awarded the Georgia Department of Education L4GA grant (Literacy for Learning, Living, and Leading) grant earlier this year, Vidalia City Schools is using the funding to improve literacy in our community.

The second annual This Girl Can program kicked off Monday, November 7th, in Southeastern Technical College’s Automotive Department! Automotive Teacher Will Fountain and six of his current students taught our 7th and 8th grade after school students how to check their oil and transmission fluid, how to change a tire, and how to properly use jumper cables.
