What is a Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) and how can it benefit my company?

The Foreign-Trade Zones 101 program is being offered on Thursday, November 5th
from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at World Trade Center Savannah.  The program is beneficial to any
company currently importing and interested in theU.S. Foreign Trade Zones program and benefits.

The program is free of charge, but registration is required.

Georgia Department of Education to Host "Partners Educating Georgia's Future Workforce" Meetings

The Georgia Department of Education will host twelve "Partners Educating Georgia's Future Workforce" meetings around the state this fall.  Region 9 will be hosted by Toombs County at the Toombs County High School.  This event will provide a chance for business and community partners to learn more about our national, state, regional and local workforce needs.  Each county is asked to bring educators, chamber representatives, and several business and industry representatives to the meeting.  State Legislators and other dignitaries are also invited.
